Overview
SyncWeightBit is a simple utility that reads body weight measurements from Apple Health and writes them to your Fitbit account. We take your privacy seriously — your health data never passes through our servers.
Data We Access
- Body Mass (weight) — read from Apple HealthKit on your device.
- Fitbit account — write access to your Fitbit weight log, obtained via OAuth 2.0.
How Your Data Is Used
Your weight data is read directly from HealthKit and sent directly to Fitbit's API from your device. It is used solely to keep your Fitbit weight log in sync with your Apple Health data.
Data Storage
- No health data is stored outside your device.
- Your Fitbit OAuth tokens are stored locally on your device only.
- We do not operate any backend servers that receive or store your data.
Third-Party Services
SyncWeightBit connects to the Fitbit Web API. Data sent to Fitbit is subject to Fitbit's Privacy Policy. We have no control over how Fitbit handles data once it is received by their servers.
HealthKit
SyncWeightBit uses Apple HealthKit solely to read body mass data. Health data obtained from HealthKit will not be used for advertising or sold to third parties. It will not be used for any purpose other than syncing to Fitbit as described above, in accordance with Apple's HealthKit guidelines.
Children's Privacy
SyncWeightBit is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect data from children.
